I am a mum to a delightful 4 year old boy and a spirited 18 year old step-daughter. The birth of my son had a profound impact on my life.

I had finally found that ‘something missing’ in my life without even realising it! The journey of motherhood transformed many aspects of my life.

I am currently a second year university nursing student and hope to study midwifery after completing my degree. I am also a Doula, and very proudly so!

Having a child is a life changing event. It is not easy, but nothing in life worthwhile ever is. It is truly a time to reflect on what is important to you, your partner and family, and what it is you want and expect during this period. As a Doula, I can assist you with this.

I will be your advocate and ensure you are able to remain confident and calm during labour so you can focus on the job at hand. I will reassure and comfort you from the beginning of labour, to the beginning of your new life.

This moment will remain with you always, and so “it matters how a baby comes into the world” (Chan & Edmondstone, 2004)
