I am blessed to be a mother to an amazing boy named Jacob. Jacob was born by caesarean section, with major complications following his birth. So it is through his birth that I have now discovered the profound importance of Knowledge, Support, Encouragement, and Informed choice on birth. That is why I've decided to take on the role as a DOULA (birth attendant).

I offer pregnant women and their partners unbiased information on birthing options/birth plans, provide continuous one to one emotional/physical support during labour/birth including gentle massage and all other comfort measures ensuring a calm and quiet atmosphere.
I can also assist with postnatal care whilst you are at home and be there for you to debrief your birth experience.

My role as a Doula will not interfere with that of the 'father to be', his role in the birth is irreplaceable, I will be there to encourage him and reassure him along the way.

Labour and birth are a matter of believing, trusting and listening to your instincts.
